Meatballs (just heat and cut up)
tofu (slice and fry with a little salt and pepper)
beans (my LO loves garbanzo beans)
hummus sandwich (cut into bite size pieces)
we also did a ton of steamed vegetables
Grilled chicken (TJ's has frozen grilled chicken, and breaded chicken cutlets. Those were a life safer in a pinch).
Fish sticks

DS (18 months) is obsessed with this particular kind of veggie burger from Costco - the brand is Don Lee Farms - and has been for at least 4ish months. For other protein options, we also do mini meatballs (homemade or the Earth's Best brand), chicken sausage like you mentioned, turkey sandwiches cubed up (I put cream cheese on it but you could do hummus or guac for a non-dairy option), and peanut butter sandwiches.

I also recently made these which were a hit and have a pretty decent amount of protein from the included eggs and quinoa; you could sub in almond cheese or maybe even hummus to avoid dairy: http://www.ahealthysliceoflife.com/munchkin-meals-broccoli-cheddar-quinoa-bites/

Maybe pieces of chicken from a rotisserie chicken or if you have time to boil or roast a chicken over the weekend - maybe strips of that?

A lot of what I'd suggest has already been said, but we've had great luck with DD and veggie burgers. Aldi has some for super cheap (with organic soy, too!) that she loves.

We buy frozen Aidell's organic meatballs at Costco and cut them up into bite size pieces for DS. He likes those. We also make plain omelets a lot with just a little salt and pepper, but also sometimes add shredded zucchini and carrots (just sauté them first to soften). Cool the omelet and cut into bites. DS also likes breakfast sausage, hot dog weiners, chunks of turkey meat loaf (the kid hates actual meat but loves ground or processed stuff). Sometimes I chop up some chicken nuggets or a slice of Canadian bacon. We've been hit or miss on baked tofu chunks. Some days he likes it and other days not so much. Same with frozen potstickers - the little mini ones are a good size.

Neater fruit he likes are red grapes, blueberries, clementines. Other favorites are bananas, melon, kiwi, pear, berries of all kinds but these are a bit messier.

Veggies he will eat are soft cooked carrots, cold peas, corn on the cob cut into inch thick pinwheels. Sometimes he will eat zucchini.

He likes boxed Mac n cheese but not ravioli for some reason. Actually not a huge cheese eater in general. Bites of cold cheese pizza are ok. He likes rice in all forms the best.

Raisins and Craisins get mixed in with cereal sometimes.

meatballs? You can just get some frozen ones (or make a big batch at once and freeze especially if you can't find ones w/o dairy).

How about eggs? You could do veggie omelets without cheese, or even add some kind of meat to add even more protein.

Please give me suggestions on what to send to daycare for lunch for my 13 month old!

To set the scene:
-DH and I both WOH FT, sometimes 60 hours/week
-I'm not proud of our family dinner habits, and at this point generally cannot send leftovers (for another post!)
-I am generally very successful at preparing food on the weekend for DD's lunches, just need ideas!

At this point, I send: muffins, pouches, chunks of cheese, pieces of chicken sausage, green beans, mandarin oranges, Cheerios, yogurt melts, quesadillas, tortellini, ravioli

I'm looking for more protein options, as we are trying to drop her 2pm bottle. I'm also looking for more non-dairy options, as it causes ezcema flare up.

Thank you!!!
