I tested my fingerprint in it first, to make sure it was easy enough to do, before bringing LO over, and like I said, I had DH hold her so I could put her hand down and push. But she's still pretty little so her hand print isn't huge-- I used a medium drinking glass to cut out the circle. It might not be a cheap way to do it but Crayola Model Magic is great for this type of thing. The ornaments come out super light even if they wind up on the big side. You can buy colored dough or you can paint it. You can stretch the fabric over the hoop and tighten it to hold the fabric then just use paint to make the footprint. Although, it might be better to make the footprint first. I can't remember how we used to do it. </p> <p>We used the wooden ones to make ornaments when I was a kid.
