We use bottled water and the Dr. Brown's formula pitcher and make 5-6 bottles at a time!

I boil our tap water and let it cool to room temp. In the morning I fill 5 bottles with 4oz of water and put the bottle together. That way I only have to dump the formula in and shake. We use Dr Browns glass bottles so no idea about liners. I've been giving M his first bottle at wake up cold from the fridge since that's when he's most frantic to eat.

I used the nursery water with no added fluoride. But I have well water so I didn't want to use our water. I also used the formula pitcher - it mixed better.

I use filtered water from the fridge. We actually fill a couple of water bottles so that they are room temp, then just fill from there. Dump formula in, shake it up, and serve. Shaking doesn't work well with the playtex liners, though (we use the angled Playtex ones)

@mrs. wagon: I thought about getting one of those small formula dispenser and just mixing it in there--shaking it and everything.

Thanks for the suggestions, ladies! I didn't know if it was weird to mix it with bottled water, but I think that will be easiest for us to try right now.

I used filtered water. I never premixed a large amount, I filled the bottles with the correct amount of filtered water and then warmed the water at feeding time. I had premeasured portions of formula powder that I would then add to the warmed bottle of water.

@Jennimac: We used filtered water, and it's always easy to find bottled water. We used drop-ins with liners too, and you can just shake in the bottle but it takes a while. Much quicker with a formula mixing pitcher. But if it's only a bottle a day or so, maybe not worth the extra effort.

Tap or filtered water and we offer room temp. If we are traveling we'll buy a jug or water or bring along some bottles for ease of use.

So, do you use bottled water, filtered, boiled? We also use playtex drop in liner bottles. Do you mix the formula in another container, like a formula dispenser, and then pour into the liners? Trying to figure out what I need to get before we head south for the holidays. Where we are going is hard to get stuff. No target, walgreens, or Walmart nearby. LO takes refrigerated bm that's warmed a bit to take the chill off and also takes room temp bm after I've pumped it. Do I need to warm the formula or just give as is?
