@looch good advice. Thanks. We were in such a hurry ended up forgetting the diaper and wipes. So a pit stop at target is needed.

@Honeydew: I'd probably do a pit stop at Target once you arrive. I used to get manic about packing for a weekend, but unless you're going somewhere very remote, you can buy what you need most times of the day.

I always travel with a nightlight and a power strip. If you need a sound machine/lovey, I have extras plus batteries.

Agree about new pack of diapers and wipes.

Stuff to take a bath (most specifically your preferred soap, unless they have that).

Also, where is LO sleeping?

@looch we are traveling by car. And we are leaving tomorrow so we can't ship ahead.

If we do run out of anything, we can always buy more at the local target.

Thanks for everyone's suggestions! It's crazy how much more stuff to bring when you have a kid.

I way overpack, but I've never been sorry!

-10 diapers/day
-New pack of wipes
-3 outfits a day
-We bring all our Tommee Tippee bottles (we have 7) and wash them at night

I also bring toys for the car, extra toys for when we get there, her sleep sack, 3-4 pairs of socks, a couple washcloths, and travel-sized baby soap and lotion.

For weekends at my parents I always overpack because it's better to be safe than sorry. We fill up our diaper caddy and wipes container (maybe 45 diapers and 80ish wipes? We never use that much, but it's what our caddy holds, so I just make sure to refill everything before we pack.). I take at least two outfits per day and an extra set of pjs. 3-4 burp clothes.

Other things that we usually take -a night light, white noise, boppy, any medicines we might need just in case, and a blanket to put her down on to play. Extra paci.

@Honeydew: I was really paranoid. I always packed 8 diapers/day. And twice as many wipes as I thought we'd need.

We also traveled with the sound machine, glow worm, swaddles at that age, baby carrier, medicine/gas drops/nose frida/etc., baby's toiletries, and depending on the place - the video monitor.

Diapers - we brought a new, unopened package
Wipes - again, a new, unopened package
Burp cloths - One per day with one extra
Bottles - 2 (EBF, but I pumped in the car so we could feed her without stopping)
Change of clothes - six sleepers, six onesies, six pairs of pants and we had to do laundry while we were there.
Anything else that helps with travel? We brought my pump w/car adapter, batteries, and me sitting back there with her really helped.
