When I put the legs back on they both liked to pull up on it to get to the buttons that made music. Also, my DS never pulled himself up until we put up our baby jail/gate in the living room. The first time I left the kids in it while I went to the bathroom, he started screaming and pulled himself right up like it was magic. He was unstoppable after that. My kids used the little push Walker things, but they weren't greater for the initial pulling up stage because the walkers were unsteady and they would flip it over, especially if they were both trying to pull up on the same one. The lower height really helped her develop the muscles well and we didn't have much of that awful phase where they don't know how to get down because she had practiced at a lower height. </p> <p>We also have a toy cube which is a great height and those baby play tables are great. I also saw a suggestion for issuing the outside of the exersaucer but she actually still has a hard time with that even though she can use walls to stand up. It made it really easy for him to pull up.
