thanks everyone! Maybe i'll skip the meal and stick to stuff for her to eat on the go like muffins/the cookies/fruit/veggies/ect! I think she will appreciate that, and she jsut did 30 different freezer meals so she has some stocked up! I'll make a pot of soup and freeze it in individual bags for lunches!

A fruit bouquet! There's a place called Edible Arrangements near me that makes them. They're an indulgence because they're expensive, but it made me feel so pampered to get one because they're so pretty and the fruit is all cut up into flower shapes and you just pluck a skewer out of the arrangment and devour. Some of the pieces of fruit are chocolate covered too

Healthy snacks that are easy to grab (cut up fruit/veggies, granola bars, etc). For dinner, I'd suggest soup because it is easy to reheat and you can usually get a lot of meals out of a single recipe.

You're the sweetest!

Could you maybe bag up a few of your favorite crockpot recipes and have them for her in the fridge when she gets home? Marinated chicken frozen in one bag and all the veggies and fixings in another with heat and time written on the bags so she can simply dump them in and have a hot meal at night? Pack some crock bags, too, so she can just toss the mess without dishes.

I loved Lara bars because they were fast... an equal exchange makes dark chocolate that is amazing! A chocolate bar has tons of fiber and iron and protein. Hey if you are gonna eat chocolate. .. :) (which is great for energy!)

Whole chicken with sides or a salad with chicken, beans, cheese, avocado... something that is healthy and provides fiber (SO MUCH FIBER NEEDED POSTPARTUM!) but is filling!

Lots of people brought us pasta which was yummy and comforting and filling, but after a while I needed to just eat like a bag of spinach if you know what I mean.

I'd skip anything with cheese and tomato sauce, esp. if they are nursing.

I really like the idea of stuff for sandwiches or a whole chicken.

Rotisserie chicken was one of the best things we received. Maybe also healthy snacks like almonds, cut fruit, etc.

Baked pastas are AWESOME. Make her a big tray that they can eat on for a couple days.

A friend brought us baked ziti, salad and bread our first night home.

We ate too much lasagna in the early days. I'd recommend sliced fruit and cut veggies. Healthy easy to eat with one hand foods.

My BFF is getting induced tomorrow with her first baby! I'm kind of the "momma bear" of the group so I want to take her a bunch of food to have on hand so I know she's getting what she needs!

Needs to be healthy ideas because she has a wedding dress to get into in a few months, so that's on her mind.

I want to do muffins and healthy cookies for sure & then take her dinner Sunday night? Any suggestions welcomed!
