After not speaking for years, we tried to make a relationship work but it recently became clear that this individual has not changed (refuses to take any responsibility, lying, gaslighting, etc). While I know this is the best decision, I need some advice on what to tell our 6 year old. She’s not extremely close to this person but I know there will definitely be questions. Any advice on what to say? I don’t want to badmouth anyone but how do I make a 6 year old understand that it’s just not healthy to have certain people in our lives? </p>
