Stretch jersey maxi skirt, nursing tank, long cardigan. I brought yoga pants with me too, but was more comfortable in a skirt.

I would suggest the biggest/widest shoes you have. I had minimal swelling before but it took a while for me to be able to wear anything besides crocs (in my defense they are Mary Jane crocs so not too terrible looking!!), but I was also on my feet a lot going to see LO in the nicu.

The first time (dead of winter) I wore a sweatsuit and t shirt, and boots (fake uggs). The second time (dead of summer) I wore what I wore to the hospital 3 days before... a flowy maternity dress! and flip flops. Something to consider is that your feet may swell a ton if you're on an IV (I was both times) and I could barely get my size 9 fake uggs onto my feet (I normally wear a size 8!).

The theme seems to be comfort!! I wore a pair of my panel maternity pants, a nursing tank, and a zipped jacket.

ETA: I had a c-section and my gigantic undies and panel pants were perfect...I hated anything hitting under my belly when I was pregnant and it served me well with the incision.

I wore maternity jeans and a nursing tank with a zip up sweatshirt.

I wore yoga pants, tank top and wrap. I had packed a cute maxi dress but right before I was discharged I found out dd would have to go to the nicu while I went home. I was a hormonal mess leaving without my baby and could have cared less what I was wearing at that point!

I gave birth in November so I wore my black maternity pants with a sweater. The hardest part for me was shoes - my feet were so swollen and I couldn't fit into my shoes. I ended up wearing some sneakers with the laces all loosened. NOT CUTE

I'm surprised by the # of people who wore yoga pants - I felt like yoga pants showed off my lovely bulky maternity pads too much, haha :)

DD1 was born end of April and I left in yoga pants, nursing tank top and a cardigan. DD2 will be born end of August so I'll probably pack a maternity dress with easy nursing access. @cmomma17: haha good point. Maybe I should rethink my outfit for this time!

I wore yoga pants, a nursing tank and a zip up hoodie. I'm glad I had pants on because everything underneath them was a mess as I would have felt uncomfortable in a dress

Eta mine were maternity yoga pants so they were very forgiving around the belly area
