As far as non-art toys, he LOVES trucks, cars, tractors, and airplanes. The messier the better is his philosophy. He also likes stickers.<br /> Toy-wise he's 100% obsessed with trains right now so most other toys don't stand a chance. Grandma got sports stamps at Michaels that weren't as popular. Mine is mostly into art right now - markers, crayons, coloring books, etc. Also starting to pretend play a bit. We got the Hape Toys Ice Cream set in a Citrus Lane box the other day and she loves it, so we'll be getting some more of similar pretend play toys.
