She's super cute, but her "trick" repertoire consists mainly of "sit" and "stay." We have gone through 3 dog obedience classes with her and hope to go back soon. I don't want her to be able to do tricks per se, but I would like to get to the point that she will follow commands off leash. We are definitely a long ways a way from that!

@Rainbow Sprinkles: same!!!! My dog is smart but defiant and a giant douche. He doesn't do anything he doesn't want to do.

He'll sit, lay down, and shake paw for a treat.

He won't come under any circumstances.

And we have done a bunch of training with him!!

He's cute though, so we love him anyways :)

He can do SIT and COME. That's it!

I have said it once and I will say it again--my dog's a total douche! He is completely untrainable.

Our big yellow lab mix can sit, stay, speak, heel, get in his kennel, hop in the car when you ask if he wants to go for a ride, 'leave it', shake right paw, shake left paw, sit w/ a treat on his paw and wait for the ok to eat it, and go find any toy of his that you name - he'll bring back the specific one you asked about!

Our two little tiny dogs are basically idiots but they are terribly cute :) Their only trick is to come running when they hear our big dog going through one of his commands, because they know they'll get a treat for free! Maybe they're actually the smart ones... No work, still get treats!

My dog is annoyingly smart. She knows so many words that we've lost track. She knows basic commands, like sit, and she knows that at bedtime, she gets three treats, and she will make sure she gets all three. She knows that if I say I am going to school, she has to go to her bed, and she knows which way to go down the street to "pick up daddy from work". She also recognizes my running clothes, the park when we drive by it in the car, and my sister' s voice in the phone...she LOVES to "talk" on the phone and will bring toys to the phone to play.

Her most favorite - and most annoying word? Squirrel...can you tell?

None. Absolutely none. They are rescues from a puppy mill (well 2 of the 3 are from a mill) and we're lucky that they usually don't pee inside!

Our one male can sit/speak but he only likes to sit when he's on carpet (arthritis) and when I ask him to sit he usually speaks instead. He's also almost 12. Sooooo I'll take what I can get :)

What a bunch of smart dogs!!!

Our dog is pretty good at the basics.

Sit
Stay
Come
Lay down
He is also really good at "Mine" if something is not his and "Yours" if it is his. This includes leaving a burger on the floor unwrapped and leaving the house for a while, coming home and the burger is still on the floor! Untouched! With a big puddle of drool beside it.

He can:

Shake a paw
Pound it (which is kind just shake a paw)
He can play dead but it takes about 20 shots to actually kill him and his tail still wags when he's fully "dead". lol

His best trick is Sleep.

My basset counter surfs...

Lol he's stubborn and motivated by food. His only real trick is that he'll give you his paw. He is funny, if he really wants something, he'll smack you with his paw like "here, here's my paw, now GIVE ME THAT TREAT NOW!"

My dog is very poorly trained and stubborn.

She just goes ahead and opens the door for herself when she wants to go out. She gets up on 2 legs, pushes the handle, walks backward while holding it, then gets down and pushes it further open with her nose.

Don't have dogs but my cat is kinda tricky. He will fetch. If I am standing up and pat my chest he will jump on me. If I bend over he jumps onto my back and lays down (not really a trick) and he is super amazing at opening doors, cupboards, drawers and fridges...

my dogs cant really do "tricks" either - just a bunch of commands:

Sit
down
stay
leave it
drop it
come
heel
go
paw
roll over
up
speak
get 'em (one of my dogs is a cane corso and he's very protective. so my husband taught him to "GET EM" aka: attack)
get your toy
where's mama/daddy (they will lead you to the person you're asking for)
go to bed
"treat" - they recognize the word
dinner
drink water
go potty

Our dog loves tricks, I need to come up with more to teach him. He does high 5, shake, head down, roll over, he does the "shell game" where you hide a treat under cups and mix them up, the which hand game, we do hide and seek with his toys all the time (it is one of the best ways to keep him busy!) He will spin in circles sometimes, and he puts up with me putting treats on his paws or nose and waiting but he isn't thrilled about it. The most recent one we are working on is having him fetch socks for my dh, it is pretty cute! He gets so excited if you have a treat and tell him to go to bed, he literally jumps straight up and lands laying down on his bed.

He is pretty good with all of the regular commands including "look at me" but he really sucks at coming when called if there is a rabbit in the yard.

Such a cute pup!

My dog knows basic commands like sit, stay, come, lie down, and drop it. The tricks he knows are not nearly as cool as yours! He knows yawn, play dead, roll over, shake, paw, walk, and spin.

Here's a pic just for fun!

Aaw, what a clever doggy!!!

I can't get mine to learn any proper tricks. They both do sit, which is a start! They both understand "on your bed" and, after last night's training, "get down!!" (said in my loudest, angriest mum voice!). Oh and my little lady dog does a phenomenal beg, dancing around on her hind legs, but only when she wants something, not on command!!!

more basic commands than tricks!

we just went through basic training with our puppy so she can now sit, leave & drop things, lie down (sometimes, she's fussy about this one!), come, stay (sort of...haha we need to work on that!), make eye contact on command, and go to her "place" on command (usually her crate)

we never did formal training with our older dog, but he can sit, stay, come, lie down, drop things, heel, and roll over, though when he does he just rolls over onto one side, not all the way over! we tried to teach him to shake but he never got that one, lol

Mostly agility stuff, so nothing impressive unless there's equipment in front of us ;). But she can jump obstacles, go through tunnels, climb planks, walk the teeter (see saw) and weave between poles.

Our bulldog, Gus, is very stubborn but extremely smart. He can and will do anything for a treat!

He rings a bell when he wants to go outside. He'll nudge it with his nose and if we don't let him out ASAP he'll give it a big ol' swat then turn around and glare at us.

His favorite game is "Which Paw?" when you hide a treat in one hand and then hold them both out. He taps the hand that he thinks its in - if you open it and it's empty, he starts swatting the other hand like crazy.

He plays 'hide and go seek ' where my dad hides a treat somewhere in the room- which took an embarrassingly long time at the start because his nose is terrible at smelling things.

He can do the basic sit, stay, give paw, high 5, drop it....but as much as we've tried to teach him 'roll over', the fact is he's built like a propane tank and can't get the necessary momentum! It's funny to watch him try though, lol!

Here's my smart (but food obsessed) boy!
