I lay out outfits for the entire week, so that way if she wakes up before DH leaves he can get her dressed (he's fashion challenged.) If she sleeps in (which has been normal lately) I make sure to get her breakfast snack (dry cereal) and sippy of milk ready. I go in wake her up, we sit on potty, brush teeth/hair, and change diaper. Sometimes she fights me on changing out of warm Pjs, so I take clothes to daycare and they change her (we are at an in home so we have some flexibility there.) they also feed her breakfast so some cereal in the car to tie her over is sufficient. Not going to lie this morning we skipped teeth brushing...we were running too late and it's a STRUGGLE.

I put her orange in a ziploc bag, and I often let her bring along a handful of playdough at least as far as the car.

*For two weeks I actually let her bring a rose from the bouquet her Daddy gave me for my birthday, because she wanted to share with her friends.

The speed of our morning is really dependent on my LOs mood... if I wake her and rush her, it's bad news...she will tantrum and fight me on everything, which will usually cause us to be even later.
-pick out clothes for both J and me the night before
-pack lunches for both J and me the night before
-give J a bath the night before an early morning departure... on days when I have more time, she showers with me in the morning
-get up before J, shower, eat breakfast/have coffee, make J breakfast (usually this includes a smoothie in a sippie cup), say bye to my husband
-if she's not up by this point in my routine, and I have to wake her up, it usually it goes over much better if I scoop her up, carry her to the guest room in her sleep sack, turn on cartoons (usually Mickey Mouse club), and hand her the smoothie I just made. She drinks the smoothie and "warms up" to the day while I finish getting ready. Yeah, my kid gets breakfast/tv in bed...probably not the best thing, but I do what I gotta do!
-I change her diaper and dress her while she is still watching cartoons...otherwise she fights getting dressed.
-We go downstairs and I give her the rest of her breakfast...usually cut up apples, string cheese, and/or Jones light sausage. While J is eating, I feed the dog, let the dog out, put her in her crate. If we are totally late, I will grab a pouch and a string cheese and just give it to her when we walk into daycare.
-I let J pick one toy to ride in the car with us... this usually prevents her from tantruming about getting into the car.

I wish there was a way to make it go faster, but that seems to be the best I've worked out so far!

My trick is to have DH feed and dress LO, while I get ready. And then he takes her to the car and buckles her in while I frantically grab my own breakfast and lunch. ;-)

He gets the house all to himself after we leave--for a leisurely 45 min or so.

Pack her lunch/snacks and get diaper bag ready the night before. Have DH change diaper, dress her and possibly give her breakfast before he leaves. Grab a granola bar for me to eat in the car, otherwise I have to share my cereal with her. (Slowly)

No one leaves BR until they put laid out clothes on & makes their bed, put toothpaste on toothbrushes so they're ready to go (if they brush teeth after eating, toothbrushes should be in the bathroom closest to the door), have a morning staging area, put out each kiddo's stuff in their own space (preferably where they are able to maintain it themselves by hanging their own bags, coats, etc). I'm a freak, I loooove a well organized morning routine, it's satisfying to me. I also think morning routines that involve a walk are the best & help to get the body and mind going to start the day.

Here are our top tricks:

* Pick out the clothes the night before.
* Dress the kids at night in the clothes they're wearing the next day (well at least, the shirts).
* Have the kids brush their teeth first thing after they wake up.
* Eat finger foods if we're behind schedule (like a sandwich or toasted pastry or a pouch)

A lot of these tricks only buy us a little time, but every single minute helps... and when you add them all together, it gets us to school on time! Usually...
