And my husband kept warning me that people really didn't like the ending. The only thing I didn't like was when Dr. Melfi gave him the boot. She was one of my favorite characters, and that felt abrupt to me. </p> <p>It wasn't just the finale that was good--the entire last season was so depressing that I therefore felt prepared for it to end! The more I thought about the finale, the more convinced I was that it really couldn't have ended any other way.
