It was just a twist screw clasp. They should all be individually knotted so if the strand breaks the rest of the beads stay on. It seems that the "safety" clasps which release easily make it more likely a baby will chew on/bite off the beads, but a locking clasp poses a strangulation hazard....currently I'm leaning towards the latter, but would then move the necklace to her ankle at night.</p> <p>On a lighter note....what color do you have? I'm leaning towards Honey or Congnac, or possibly one of these mixed with Lemon....I don't think I like the darkest options, particularly since it's summertime. </p>
