I love how well the swiffer works, but I hate the idea of throwing out all those refills. My dad is a carpenter and makes a lot of our furniture which is all beautiful, solid wood. The stuff we own that he didn't make is solid wood as well and he would disown me if I used any kind of dust cleaner like Pledge because they all leave a filmy build up (even the ones that claim not to). Mostly I use swiffer dusters or a microfiber duster from the hardware store. But it was just too expensive to buy replacements. We generally use a wet cloth then dry cloth or the wand attachment of our Dyson. I usually feel that dusters just thrown dust into the air and then the dust settles back down, so I usually prefer to use a cloth to wipe things down, but some areas are just hard to reach with a cloth. Which duster do you use?
