We have curtains in the living room. All the other rooms in the house, except the playroom, which off the living room, have wood blinds. I wish they went to the floor but oh well.

Am I the only one reading this thread wondering wth muntins are? At first I thought it was an auto correct thing.

When I moved in, there were mini blinds or roman shades on most of the windows and doors. But I'm pretty sure they're original to the house because the cords started just falling apart (like dry rot)

In our living room, I sewed curtains that we keep closed all the time. the afternoon sun shines directly in and bakes anyone in that room, so we don't feel the need to open them often (the only time I do is if I want to watch a storm)

We have mini blinds and a valance in the kitchen. Our bedroom has roman shades, and then sheer curtains from Ikea over them (that are also always closed)

We have 2.5" faux wood white blinds throughout the house. On the main window in our family room, I have white curtains. I'm pretty boring.

Drapes in the living room and dining room. They have black out panels to keep the fabric color consistent when the sun shines in the room.

We have blinds in the family room, but will upgrade to plantation shutters hopefully soon. Our kitchen window is bare and will remain so, but we have tints to help with the heat that seeps in.

@Bao: I totally understand. I waited foreverrrrrr and hemmed and hawed about window treatments--for literally almost a year. But our windows are poorly insulated and in winter it's FREEZING. And the curtains have really made a difference--both in summer and winter!

@HLK208: Yeah we have a nosy neighbor so although I love the look of the windows with nothing on them I think we better put something up, plus in the winter I like to feel cozy inside with them shut, whereas in the summer I don't mind them open because it's lighter for longer and we like the air flow.
