@LOOCH and @RACHIECAKES: Do you guys have the Quinny Zapp that only folds if you remove the seat? I just received my Quinny Zapp Xtra with Folding Seat this week and it's a full stroller with a compact fold:
Reversible seat
Fully reclines in both forward and parent-facing

@LOOCH: Have you successfully been able to board the plane with the Zapp without having to gate check it?

@mediagirl: we actually have the jet. In 5"4' and its perfect for me. One of my friends is 5'11" and has the same and loves it. It was $60 at BBB with tax.

@looch: we have a Zapp, too.

I love that it folds down teeny tiny little box but I hate that the shade doesn't fully cover the seat and that it doesn't recline.

@mediagirl: hehe, I know. Maybe check open box on Amazon? The sunshade is decent; it seems to be bigger than my other one. It is "open" on the back side, meaning it doesn't snap onto the stroller seat like most strollers.
And oh, one of the thing about this stroller is higher handles for tall people. FIL is 6'7!

@regberadaisy: that's a pretty good deal but you know how I feel about NBD. :) How's the sunshade?

@matador84: do you have the Ignite, as well?

@Mrs. Jump Rope: yeah, definitely don't want that one, then. My husband is 6'3 and I'm 5'7!!!

I guess I should have mentioned I'm looking for something under $100. I'm shocked at the prices of some of these "umbrella" strollers. Our primary stroller was only $200 so I'm hoping to find something under half of that.

My mom bought a cheap one from BRU & it someone ended up in my trunk, so we took it for a spin through the neighborhood the other day.

I hate it. I'm 5' tall, and had to lean down to push the handles. How awkward is that?! It has no room for storage, which isn't ideal if you have a diaper bag or have a drink with you. It's easy to maneuver, though, and she didn't pay more than $20 so I don't think she'd be upset if it got banged up.

That's my review of a cheapie from BRU!

@mediagirl: We just received the First Years Ignite one and used it Saturday all day at the mall. So far I'm very happy with it as a secondary stroller. I got it for $34 on NBD.

Quinny Zapp. I got it because it folds into a tiny little thing and you can carry it on the airplane as opposed to gate checking. Problem is that it's kind of a PITA to fold and unfold. Oh, and my son refuses to sit in it.

I have the Maclaren Techno XT, but it was also our only stroller for our 1st child and it might be a little bit bigger/more expensive than if you want a stroller that could get beat up.

Look into the Maclaren Globetrotter. It is lightweight AND reclines, which the previous lightweight Maclaren Volo did not.

We also have a maclaren triumph. I think those things are way overrated! Dd doesn't like that she can't sit totally upright, yet I don't like that the recline pretty much sucks. It also came making this sound like a card on a bicycle wheel. DH decided he's going to fix it rather than send the thing back. To get maclaren to do it would have meant making an appt or sending it to the only repair place in our state. The basket is hard to reach and I didn't have high expectations either. Canopy is useless although most umbrella strollers are that way. Don't get me wrong, it's not terrible.. But dd way prefers hanging out in her BOB or her plain safety first and I wish I hadn't spent that much money. Wish I'd have gone with a first years!

We got the first years ignite for similar goals: travel, affordable, etc. It was about $50 on amazon and is sturdy, light and manueverable. I am tall and the handles are comfortable. It did well on our plane trip to visit the grandparents.

Maclaren Triumph. I love that it is super light (I think about 10 pounds) and has a strap so it can be carried/dragged through the airport easily while also hauling a bag and my 13-month old daughter. It reclines enough (though it's not lie flat), and feels really high quality in terms of maneuverability and sturdiness. Most importantly, it's really easy to fold, so other people can figure it out - meaning I'm able to accept help from strangers. This is primarily our travel stroller, so I'm thrilled for any extra help I can get when I travel alone with DD.

It does not come with any accessories other than a rain cover and a small, difficult to access basket underneath..but you can buy cupholders/an organizer for the back/other accessories. I just got a footmuff on Gilt to use with the stroller when we travel in the winter.

We have the UB G-Luxe and love it! My favorite features are the recline, good sized basket, light weight, and extended sunshade. I'll be bringing it with is on our cruise vacation at the end of next month.

We just got a Joovy Groove Ultralight and LOVE it. The Britax B-Ready hasn't left the garage since we got it. The guy at Buy Buy Baby said it's brand new and wasn't in all stores yet last month but may be now. We were between that and the UppaBaby G-Luxe - they are essentially the same stroller but the Joovy was cheaper ($189) and you could use the 20% off coupon!

I have an Uppababy G-luxe that I love because it is light, looks nice, folds easy, stands up when folded and has a good recline.

I don't like the white fabric on the sides of the stroller...it gets dirty really fast!

I have a cheap Cosco one, it works good except I hate that you can't adjust the height and it's too low. I've had my eye on the Jeep on at Target right now, cheap (99) but the handles are higher.
