I'm not a huge believer in vitamins or supplements but I take Vitamin D , like almost 10k a day during the brutal northern NY winters. I think it helped with my SAD. Maybe?

I would not take supplements for no reason. If you don't need them they are either a waste of money or are doing more harm than good. What I would suggest, is going to your PCP and asking for bloodwork. Then, if you're deficient you can supplement appropriately.
The one thing most people in North America are deficient in, is vitamin D because of our long winters and not getting enough sunshine. For this, the best is a fish oil, but you could also just do drops. (I personally supplement cod liver oil in the winter).
As for the vegan thing, that diet is good for cleansing but less so for rebuilding. Therefore, if you're concerned about cardiovascular disease, what you need to eliminate is processed food (including "healthy" processed food). Buy the cleanest whole food ingredients you can afford.

I take Vitamin D 2000 IUI at my doctors recommendation and while I am not currently planning on getting pregnant any time soon I take folic acid to help with cubital tunnel (carpel tunnel but in the elbow). Beyond that I don't take any supplements. My doctor has always encouraged me to only take the supplements I need rather than a big general multivitamin.

I've heard of Hum and Holier brands for vegan vitamins. I'm currently taking supplements for BFing but am going to look into what to take once I stop, so following this for suggestions!

I’m trying to get a jump on taking care of my health this upcoming year. We’re done with kids and I stopped taking prenatal vitamins after my youngest stopped nursing, and I don’t really know what to replace it with! I’m in my mid-thirties now so I’m thinking I should probably start a calcium supplement and some sort of multivitamin. But there are too many options. Help! Brands and specific supplement recommendations welcome :)

ETA: We’re also experimenting with going vegan for family heart health reasons so if anyone has related supplement recommendations that would also be greatly appreciated!
