Thanks, everyone. Her cough seemed a little better last night, so hopefully she'll be on the mend soon.

Sorry your kid is having a hard time. For our then 3 and 5 yos, it was barely a mild fever one evening and nothing else. I assume covid since my husband and I tested positive that same week.

My 4 yo got lucky and had just a fever for a day. But I have a few friends whose toddlers developed croup. It’s pretty common with this variant. Hope your LO feels better soon!

We were really lucky in that when my 5 year old got it (following my 7 year old) she had a very mild cough, and slight fever for 1 night. We wouldn't have noticed if my son hadn't had it first.
She did have a lingering cough for awhile though but nothing bad.

Hope your LO is on the mend soon!!

My 3 year old got it a couple months ago, she had a high fever for a few days (103) and was pretty miserable and lethargic. After a couple days she developed a mild stuffy nose and occasional cough and all symptoms were gone in about a week, but she tested positive for about 10 days. I know developing a cough a few days after initial symptoms is pretty common with COVID.

I hope your daughter starts to feel better soon, COVID is rough.

My 2.5 year old had it for the first time a few weeks ago. His symptoms were mild (runny nose, low fever, lethargic) and he recovered within 3-4 days. Best wishes.

My daughter had it at age 2.5 and was pretty mild. Lethargic, mild cough, stuffiness. Kept saying her nose hurt or her face hurt. However…Covid really messed with her immune system and she got sick several times in the months post-Covid diagnosis. She got multiple stomach bugs, croup, and really bad colds. Croup was really the worst for her - she was sicker with that than with Covid and I have no doubt it was because her body was still trying to deal with the Covid aftermath. I’m sorry you guys have been dealing with this!

Our whole family got covid last week. The 3 off us who are old enough to be vaccinated had a rough few days but are already feeling much better. I'm starting to be worried about the 2.5 year old. She started with just a stuffy nose for several days, but she's had a really chesty, mucus-y sounding cough the last 3 days. It's worst at night when she's laying down. Did this happen to anyone else's kiddos where it looked more mild and then seemed worse? During the day she's a little tired but mostly seems ok. I will definitely also call her pediatrician, but I'm curious about other toddlers.
