However, two days later I ended up the er and needed another d&amp;c (for "retained product"), that was fun. It was an out of network hospital and for a one night stay + the surgery it cost $10k and I was expected to pay $3k. Wth! I spent an entire year fighting that bill and while I was grateful to win in the end, it made me emotionally feel as if this was the miscarriage that would never end.
