Hoping that we can distract her enough with books/toys/Mickey mouse on a tablet that she isn't just screaming to get down and run around or climbing all over us. @_@ I really considered getting her a seat but since the flight is only 2hrs I figured it wasn't worth it. Last summer she flew at 2 months old and was a breeze! LO is 16 months. So far 1 years old was the hardest. Dd was super over stimulated by the lights and noises on the plane and didn't like being cooped up. We flew again at 14, 16 and 18 months and she was perfect. She seemed to have a better understanding of the space and has *just enough* stranger anxiety to not want to go running up and down the aisle. That said - I'm still nursing! We didn't buy him a seat, so he kept launching himself between DH and I the whole time. He wanted to walk and talk everywhere. Those were a tough set of flights. He threw 4 huge tantrums on our 8 flights to the Philippines/LA/NY and we just couldn't reason with him. He was hot, overtired, didn't want to put on his seatbelt. Olive is now that age and we're leaving for the Philippines this Friday so I'm a little scurred! </p> <p>It's always been easy to travel with Olive because I was nursing (she's been on 18 flights). This is the first flight she'll be on sans nursing.</p> <p>After that rough trip when Charlie was 2 1/2, he is totally fine on any flight now that he's older.</p> <p>What age was rough travel-wise for you? </p>
