It's okay for adults to read it too, of course, but if you don't like it, find another Seuss book that has a story--Yertle the Turtle, The Sneetches, Thidwick, Horton, The Bippolo Seed, Mulberry Street, etc.--those are written so that parents can read them aloud. They're often considered to be kindergarten or above level, but my 2 yo LO has enjoyed them for a while, and they're interesting enough that I don't get sick of them. </p> <p>"Fox", "Wocket", and even "The Cat in the Hat" are for early readers (i.e., not anyone commenting on this blog!). :) That said, I loved "Wocket", and it's a quick read, so I read it to my LO all the time when he was not really into sitting for a long time to read books, around the 9-12 mo. mark. </p> <p>The last book I read LO was "An Orange for Frankie" by Patricia Polacco.
