It was a meatloaf casserole. I thought it was such a great idea because it has the meatloaf and veggies all in one pot. I'd much rather make them in different pots and dirty up more dishes so they taste yummy.

I tried to fry some lumpia in a pot on my stove last week and I got the oil WAY too hot, so my lumpia was burnt and my house looked like an opium den. Not fun. It's freezing cold here and I had to lock the cats in a bathroom and open all the windows.

It's a toss-up between Mayan Avacado and a veggie burger (both from Sophie Ulano). I didn't have a food processor at the time, which may be why the veggie burger didn't turn out, but the Mayan Avacado...yeesh. It was awful. It's avacado, onion, and something else drizzled in lime juice.

Meat loaf :-( its so simple but in have failed at the last 3 I have made because i tried to get fancy with it. When DH heard I was going to try it again he said he had a big lunch and wasn't hungry. He seriously avoided it for a week. Took me out to dinner, made dinner, etc anything he could do to avoid meat loaf!

@MrsTiz: I'm both laughing and cringing thinking about that! haha!

Our worst was when I left instructions for DH to make a pot of beans for beans and cornbread. He missed the part where I said to split the bag of beans in HALF. So, into the crock pot went the whole bag of beans and half as much water as we needed. I came home and our whole house smelled like a big fart! It took days to clear out.

My personal worst was a chicken, rice, and corn crock pot recipe from Pinterest. I followed the directions to a T and it was still disgusting! I just need to accept that I am a crock pot failure.

Almost everything I make in my slow cooker either turns out disgusting and too soupy or has no taste at all. I've sadly kind of given up on it for now.

Also, I was sooo excited to make this thai noodle dish for myself one night when DH wasn't home (he hates thai food) and good thing he wasn't there because it turned otu awful. It was edible, but just not appetizing at all.

Uhg, I might puke just thinking about it..

I was making one of those whole chickens, the small ones you put in a crockpot. They have guts inside them you have to take out..well, I couldn't get the damn chicken open so I just assumed that it wasn't one of those kind, and I put it in the crockpot for EIGHT hours full of guts (or whatever it is) and when I came home I put a fork in it to see if it was done..annd my fork went right through it and it fell apart. The whole inside was black/gray smooshy guts.

So, the chicken was ruined. I still want to puke thinking about it, and we had Rice-a-Roni instead, HA!

haha...oh man, that meal sounds awful! Points for creativity :)

The last time I made something truly awful....i probably burned it. We had some *very* crunchy roasted broccoli a few weeks ago. But to be honest, I haven't made anything inedible in a long time. I stick to the safe things.

OH my.. seriously that seaweed casserole is turning my stomach, lol! and i like seaweed!

What was the last thing you made that was horrible?

Last week or so, I tried this recipe from "The Hip Chick's Guide to Macrobiotics." It was a baked casserole of seaweed, onions and butternut squash. That doesn't even SOUND good, I dunno what I was thinking. It was so gross! (And I normally like seaweed.)

What was the last thing you made that was a real "yuck!" ?
