Plus the school is next to the mountains so they're extra cautious of wildfires. They do evacuation drills every month. Forgot you live in NY! I think they have emergency food and first aid kits in stock but they wanted us to pack these other things. I thought this was standard, no? Do other preschools provide these for the kids? I wish they did!
