I waited to test until the morning of my beta... peed on the stick... he was literally outside the bathroom door yelling "let me seeee it!" haha. The first line popped up strongly + immediately so I got about 23 seconds of knowing myself before flushing, washing my hands, and handing it over to him. :happy: I think we both reacted the same way - super happy shock. I had many tears. Once he woke up, he was happier :)<br /> DD: I had been spotting for several days, waiting for my period to start, so I took a test expecting it to be negative, but when it was positive, I ran to our room and shoved it in his face again (see a pattern here?), waking him up. He was excited though once he was awake, haha.</p> <p>I think I might be pregnant now (squinter) and he's being really guarded, and it's making me a little sad. He says he'll be really happy once we know for sure...but I wish he was more positive about it now. He went running out the door and forgot his keys - lol. He was excited.<br /> Pregnancy 2 - I told him I needed to show him something upstairs and when he saw the test result he was stunned. We didn't think it would happen so fast. He was happy too. He was confused for a second, then said, "are you pregnant?!" I said yes and he looked shocked. I asked if he was excited (I was a little nervous because we hadn't been trying long). We weren't planning on trying for a couple more months, and had just pulled the goalie to start NFP until that time. When I told him, he just looked at me and said "Whattt? How do you know???" And then was kind of quiet after I told him I had a positive test....he was truly shocked (but supportive!) Then, later that night, we hugged and kissed and he was very happy.</p> <p>#2 I told him by having DD wake him up while wearing a "big sister" shirt. He said "NO WAY! Is this a joke?" and hugged both of us and grinned all day long.</p> <p>#3 We were actively preventing and not planning on a third for quite a while. I had spent the whole day crying and felt like my whole world was crashing in on me. Finally, at midnight (I'd known for about 11 hours), we were laying in bed and I said "I have something very shocking to tell you..." I was expecting him to be pissed, talk about what a terrible time it was, roll over in frustration..." But instead her wrapped me up and pulled me close and said "Baby, I am so excited! We've got this. This just must be God's plan for us!" (Looking back, I am really glad things happened the way they did and feel that they were "meant to be," because DH's dad passed away 6 weeks after our youngest was born. We were TTC. </p> <p>2nd - "oh really? That's exciting!" We weren't TTC, we'd just decided to hit pause so we were using pnp until we figured out what we really wanted to do. Neither of us were that surprised because pnp isn't that reliable, but if we'd felt strongly about avoiding, we would've taken additional precautions. </p>
