The day before I was due, my mother and I were out shopping and we ran into a couple that my mother and grandmother were friends with. They congratulated me and casually said our hellos and that was that. Then about two weeks after I had my LO my mom got a package in the mail. It was a blanket that my grandmother had knitted as a gift to their grandchild when she was born. They wrote me the sweetest note about how nice my grandma was and how they felt that something special like this should be kept in the family. I burst into tears. I felt like a piece of my grandmother was with me and my LO.
