Late September - Pros: It was still nice enough outside through most of my maternity leave to take lots of walks. I was home through the holidays. Her birthday is away from most of our other family members birthdays. Summer dresses as maternity wear. Really easy to track weeks because week 1 was the first week of the year.
Cons: being huge and swollen through the heat of summer. Going back to work during one of the worst winters for driving.

Late December/Early Jan (TBD): Pros: possible tax write off baby, the largest part of my pregnancy will be when its cooler out. Will be on maternity leave through the worst part of winter. Fun pregnancy halloween costumes.
Cons: possible christmas baby not so much that i mind a christmas birthday but i dont want to miss my daughters christmas morning. Will be on maternity leave with my 3 yr old daughter through the worst part of winter stuck in the house. No wine at holiday dinners

@sorrycharlie: I got pregnant and gave birth all in one deductible year! Lol. November is my second favorite month after October because it is the start of the holiday season - my favorite! And since DS was late, his birthday will forever be the day before Thanksgiving (or close). A true kick off to the holidays!!!

DD1 born end of April. Loved that winter sickies were pretty much gone, so none of us started getting sick until the fall ;) Loved being able to go outside, and having a newborn during the long summer days was nice because she was still so portable that we could do things later without having to worry about a bedtime.

DD2 was born at Thanksgiving. I loved that it was SUPER easy to get family to come help us (none are local) for the first 5-6 weeks around the holidays -- they basically entertained DD1 all day and everyday and let me focus just on the baby. Note: I would not have appreciated this help with a first LO, but it was amazing with 2 (and likely with the third coming this December!)

August sucked for pregnancy. I hated it near the end. It was better when it cooled off. My second was born in late May. We had great weather last summer. I did so many walks and errands with him because it was just perfect for it.

LO was born in April. I liked that I didn't have to be big and pregnant in the heat of summer, I was able to work most of the school year (teacher), and it was the end of flu season. (There were still cases of the flu in our area that April!)

DD was born in November, so all the Christmas decorations were up in the shops and it felt like everyone was celebrating her birth with us

DS was born in July. It was so hot but everywhere was so beautiful with gorgeous flowers, I loved that.

Aug- DS was born late in the month and the weather was already feeling like fall. The day he was born was perfect- high 70s, no humidity, super sunny. I love that he has a summer birthday and that we can have his parties outside.

June- I like the month of June because school is almost out and the flowers are in bloom. It is a warm month and easy to snuggle and nurse in that weather at night.

March was perfect because by summer cold and flu season was mostly over and she was a good age to get out and enjoy it. We had an unseasonably warm spring so we got out a lot.

He was born in early June. I remember having lots of anxiety and feeling very sleepless at nights, and always felt relief when the sun came up. So my favorite thing about his birth month was the short nights.

It's pretty much smack dab between July 4th and Labor Day, so my favorite part is that it's not near any holidays. I also love that we can have pool parties for her when she's a little older (my birthday is in February so we could never do outdoor parties).

July- it was a super hot July and August, but at least I could get outside with her right away, and I got used to dressing for sweating in the carrier. By the time we were ready for longer outings it was getting cooler and nicer (love early fall in New England!)

December- all my insurance payments were in one calendar year! It didn't get really cold until the end so I was ok without a maternity winter coat. Other than that it wasn't my favorite time to have a baby- so many colds and sicknesses, we were trapped in the house a lot, and being born right before Christmas meant family all came in at once right after we got home from the hospital which was really overwhelming to me.

Loved the end of September with DS1, football, cool weather, holidays during maternity leave. DS2 was June 1st, it wasn't too hot out yet but maternity leave wasn't as enjoyable outside when it did get hot. LO3 is due at the end of March and I think it will be so nice out during my whole leave! 🙌🏻

Early October. I liked that it was still warm enough for a month or so after she was born to take walks everyday, and I liked that my maternity leave went through all the holidays.

(I admit I did not really like it when the weather got too cold to go outside, as I don't like being cooped up all day. My next is due in December and I am worried about this.)

I dunno, August was pretty miserable all around. I guess I liked that I could live in skirts and tanks and flip-flops at the very end, but it was so, so hot that summer.

I liked having a December baby. Didn't get hugely uncomfortable until it was cooler out (we had a really mild winter last year!), she was born 8 days before Christmas, so it was very festive, and I could totally hibernate a while.

My oldest was born at the end of September. I loved the cool fall weather!! Perfect weather to be uncomfortably huge in, and to snuggle a newborn in.

My second was January. Also perfect hibernating weather (we live in New England).
