I started when I was around 10 for a neighbor, I cleaned the stalls, groomed, excercised, and walked them countless miles. Loved every minute. My first w-2 job was a cashier at Old Navy. First real job was at Walgreens, which I hated and promptly quit, much to the horror of my dad, who is a manager with them and called in a favor to get it for me. Whoops! First long-term real job was a local family-run ice cream parlor. It was all local high school kids, and we all worked at one of two stores. We called ourselves the grocery store mafia and would dance around like in West Side Story. We were nerdy band kids and had way too much fun sometimes.
