But I got toast and scrambled eggs instead, per the nurse's suggestion. I was so hungry. LO was born via c-section at 4 am, and I was counting down the minutes until the kitchen opened at 7:30. I didn't miss a meal! DD arrived at 4:54 and by the time they were done cleaning me up it was shift change. She was awesome because she refused to let them move me before I ate something and ended up staying late so I could. I was so hungry I ate it even without really knowing what it was. With DS I think it was Panera because he was born at 10:43AM and I made DH go out and get me food as soon as we were settled in our PP room. I had been craving it so badly, had an overnight stay in the hospital to test for protein in my urine & was told no eating past midnight in case I needed to be induced. I went into labor on my own that night & LO was born until 4 pm so I was ravenous! But we did takeout from a sandwich place up the street that has awesome hot pita stuffed goodness. I got one with spinach, melted cheese, artichokes, tomato and basil with a root beer, and DH and I shared baked onion rings and a chocolate shake. Most. Amazing. Meal. Ever. I seriously gobbled that thing up like I was in a five star restaurant.
