I think I ate carrots off of a hospital meal.

Then a chocolate croissant over the next day.

I didn't eat much! Was too busy with miss cranky pants! :P

I honestly don't remember. Maybe a kolache or breakfast taco that one of my sisters brought for my family in the waiting room? I threw up after labor, so I wasn't eating much.

I don't remember with DS,.. boring & bland food to recover from the c-section probably.

With DD, a wonderful cold turkey sandwich, lorna doone cookies and apple juice! It was plain but I had been craving a cold turkey sandwich forever and it really hit the spot!

I wanted pancakes! But I got toast and scrambled eggs instead, per the nurse's suggestion.

I was so hungry. LO was born via c-section at 4 am, and I was counting down the minutes until the kitchen opened at 7:30. I didn't miss a meal!

Luckily the food at my hospital was pretty good - and I can be really picky about quality.

This is honestly one of my fears!!!! I am allergic to gluten, nuts and pineapple and have been a vegetarian all my life!! I envision the hospital food to be a bowl of fruit some dried up steamed veggies and rice or something !! When grandparents show up they will have food instructions!! I will also have a bag of just food!!

With DD I think it was supposed to be beef stroganoff - my delivery nurse swiped it from a food cart for me. DD arrived at 4:54 and by the time they were done cleaning me up it was shift change. She was awesome because she refused to let them move me before I ate something and ended up staying late so I could. I was so hungry I ate it even without really knowing what it was.

With DS I think it was Panera because he was born at 10:43AM and I made DH go out and get me food as soon as we were settled in our PP room.

IHOP. I had been craving it so badly, had an overnight stay in the hospital to test for protein in my urine & was told no eating past midnight in case I needed to be induced. I went into labor on my own that night & LO was born until 4 pm so I was ravenous! My dad went out & brought me the most delicious IHOP meal & I had to pace myself so I wouldn't eat it too fast & throw up

Hehe so much turkey! Those that had turkey sandwiches, did you abstain from deli meat when you were pregnant?

I had one turkey sandwich once while I was pregnant, but overall I had a meat aversion.

I was so hungry by the time I was finally allowed to eat that cardboard probably would have been tasty! (But seriously, my sandwich was legit amazing!)

Technically a "bagel" that was the size of an English muffin the afternoon after delivery. But we did takeout from a sandwich place up the street that has awesome hot pita stuffed goodness. I got one with spinach, melted cheese, artichokes, tomato and basil with a root beer, and DH and I shared baked onion rings and a chocolate shake. I was FAMISHED! :)
