I cut down to one session around 11 months because I wasn't producing much anymore. And I think we may have dropped the second nursing session last night....we'll see if she asks for it again.</p> <p>I really wanted K to drink goat's milk but she did NOT like it. So then I tried homemade almond milk, which she also didn't like :/ So now she's on organic, non-homogenized WCM. It took several weeks for her to have any interest in it at all, but now she does drink a moderate amount of it (~10 oz/day) and still nurses. Our doctor and my LC were not at ALL concerned about her milk intake because she still nurses and is such a good eater. My plan was to drop to 1 the next week and then zero... But I was getting *nothing* from that 1 pump so I just stopped. I stopped nursing during the day on weekends at the same time - I didn't want DD or my body to get confused. From then on, we nursed at wake up and bedtime only. Beware - even though my supply was pretty much gone, I still had MAJOR nausea and headaches for about 2 weeks when I stopped pumping. I reduced my pumping times pretty drastically right away, I only pumped enough to make myself comfortable throughout the day and my body adjusted really quickly. It maybe took only a week or two.
