With my first I felt really large but overall good. I was walking a lot, getting decent sleep. My feet and back hurt due to all the weight but it wasn't tooo bad. I had tiny bit of swelling on my extremities. I wouldn't have noticed but my rings were getting quite tight!

My second was similar except more back pain due to caring for my toddler..!! My sleep wasn't great not necessarily bc of the pregnancy but It was just a busier season. I wanted her out just bc caring for my first was physically tiring. I was walking a lot and maintained my normal level of activity and this time didn't swell at all.

I felt great. With DS, I went downtown and watched a football game at a bar at 40+1. Water broke and I was induced that night. With DD, I was induced at 41+3, after she failed a NST. I was hoping to go a few days later. We had a party to attend at 40+5. DH went, DS was with FIL, and I didn't want a newborn at the party. I felt good enough to go though.

@oliviaoblivia: that's exactly how I feel. I just can't breathe. It's sending my anxiety into high alert most of the time!

With my first I was over it a week before her due date.
With my second I felt pretty great up until she was born (39w4d).
With my third I felt pretty much dead from 34w until she was born at 38w4d. I had the flu, was taking care of two sick toddlers, and she was enormous. I couldn't sit down because there was no where left for her to go but I couldn't breathe if I laid down. So miserable.

Hope you're feeling better soon. The end is so tough.

It went from four weeks to almost six because my daughter was late. I was not a pleasant person to be around.

I'm finally in my last month with DD and my God and am I ready for this to be over with. This is my last pregnancy and I feel like my c-section cannot come soon enough. I honestly think it is because I'm running after DS which makes me even more tired. Don't even get me started on sleeping and how horrible it is. Honestly, I'm up from 2-5ish trying to get comfortable and it's impossible and my lady bits are legit dying at night, I have no idea why!!! So over it!

@bhbee: It's so hard when you have other kids at home!

@smocks: Girl, I'm right there with you, with these big babies. I feel like I'm going to explode.

@LBee: I think that's a lot of my problem this time - baby is breech and it feels like her head is living where I used to have lungs. I don't know what she did with my lungs....but I could really use them back!

The last month with DS was great. I had lots of energy despite not sleeping well, enjoyed feeling the baby move (even when he was kicking my cervix since he was footling breech), and I was full of excitement because I had no real idea how hard the newborn days would be. Not so sure it will be that rosey this time, ha.

Thanks @LBee: for calling me out! I also got a blowout the day before my induction for transparency's sake :silly:

I was induced at 41+1 and I never really felt done or desperate to have the baby. I had several "last" manicures/pedicures, ran a meeting on my due date, worked after my due date, etc. Overall I had a relatively easy pregnancy, no swelling, and felt pretty normal right up to my induction. I had bad rib pain until about 34 weeks when DS flipped from being transverse to head-down, so by the last few weeks I was mostly just happy to not have the rib pain anymore! I also think I avoided the mental games of going overdue because I was expecting to go late (my mom went late with all 4 kids), so coupled with feeling okay, I felt like I could have even gone longer? I'm sure this time around (26 weeks now) I will be singing a different tune!

The only person I know who hasn't become desperate to get baby out / felt horrible is @jape14. She went a week overdue and I think got a pedicure the day before her induction?

My son was breeched so I had a lot of discomfort due to that. I also was in perpetual preterm labor despite procardia and I was on bedrest. I was pretty much a hot mess.

You're almost there!!

You know mine were bad, lol. I was massive with both, #1 was bad bc it was February and freezing, #2 was bad bc it was July and disgustingly hot. Everything I did was uncomfortable because I make big babies. I was just a swollen, complain-y mess. You're almost there!!

Mine were both endless ... tons of swelling (even in winter), tons of BH, zero sleep, you name it. I really remember struggling with the toddler last time too, just so hard to do simple things like change her sheets. And luckily she was not that active then. I am dreading the end with #3 - it will be super hot still likely and I'll have a really active 2yo. It's our last too but I'll be ready to be done for sure!

I am so exhausted and uncomfortable and just genuinely so excited for this baby, that I can't wait for this csection to come! At the same time, I'm trying (really hard) to cherish it, since this is planned to be our last baby.

With DS1, I was super excited and nervous. So much so that I wasn't too uncomfortable. My emotions and the anticipation were definitely what I remember the most. I took a week off of work before my scheduled csec to get the house ready and basked in becoming a new mommy.

With DS2, I wasn't that uncomfortable either. I had anterior placenta, which somehow buffered a lot of the painful movement and kicks. He was also a lot smaller than DS1, and while I had nausea for the first 32 weeks of that pregnancy, it went away in the last month. I worked up until 4pm the day I had him (at 9:30pm).

This time, with DD, I am so uncomfortable and tired. Partially because I'm not getting younger (I'm AMA now), and partially because I can never rest with 2 little boys running around. I can't breathe. I have trouble sleeping (I have to be propped upright, or else I feel like I'm having a heart attack). I'm just a mess all over the place.

So, how about you? How did you feel in your last month? Was it easy or hard?
