And small miracle: I'm covered under XDH's insurance......because otherwise it would have cost me 1108$ a month. Holy. Crap.

We just got a $700 bill for water/sewer :sad: We recently bought a house and there are lots of expenses that are cropping up that we didn't account for. We've always lived in a condo/townhouse before this and our strata fees covered expenses like that.

Our plow guy hit us up 4 times in last week's blizzard and we're due to get another one tomorrow. At 40 bucks a pop it really adds up. But we didn't really want to spring for a snowblower when we moved in here over the summer.

Blood thinner meds that the doc says are crazy expensive (but they're the only ones safe to take during pregnancy, unfortunately). I'm hoping for a miracle when I go fill my prescription tomorrow. Fingers crossed. :(

My miscarriage in Oct/ Nov had weird HCG numbers so the my ob/gyn basically ordered me to go to the ER in case it was ectopic. $900 to the ER, $700 to the ER doctor, $100 to the ultrasound specialist= $1700 out of our baby fund. I'm so thankful it was not ectopic and that the doctor was SUPER kind, but, the ER visit was totally unnecessary, in retrospect! So that's frustrating.

Not totally unexpected but our electric and gas bill was way higher than usual this past month, probably due to so many days of staying home all day long due to holidays, illness, snow, etc. in our old house with a terrible heating system.

We own a condo. There are five units in the building. It was new construction, and the last unit sold a little over two years ago. The management company never received the bill from the sewer company, so we just got a huuuuuuge bill with about three or four years of charges plus interest. So I guess we are all going to get an assessment.

We just moved so, everything? Our movers cost $400 more than we thought they would, the curtains we got won't work so we need to spend an additional $200 on new ones, in order to get our cable hooked up we had to spend almost $300 to get things set up the way we wanted. It's been never ending this week

Apparently the people who owned our house before us never had a dryer. After buying a new washer/dryer we had to pay $750 for a plumber to drill through our foundation and install a dryer vent. We had no idea it would cost so much or was even necessary so it was not budgeted for!

@Mrs. Jacks: I was a scheduled C-section and my due date was mid February... my mom wanted to do it on Valentine's Day, but it fell on a Saturday and they didn't schedule C-sections on weekends. They offered Friday but it would have been Friday the 13th, so I was born on Thursday the 12th. Weirdly enough that's the way the days fall again this year..!! :heart: :goodluck:

@lamariniere: framing IS really expensive!!

A vet visit for one of the dogs... it wasn't too bad though. She had a biopsy and it's not cancer, so that made us happy.
