Needless to say, when he called to ask me out on a second date (to a jazz club that I really wanted to go to), I had to decline. The first guy was from match.com and totally lied through his teeth on his profile. Not only was he much shorter than he claimed, he looked absolutely nothing like his pictures. In the pictures he was toned and fit and in person he was morbidly obese. Major false advertising. I don't even remember the date much, at least we didn't go to dinner - but I remember I stayed as long as I could possibly stand it then hightailed it out of there.</p> <p>The second was a guy I met at a party and he asked me out to a date. I accepted and the day before he asked where we should meet. That question came as a bit of a shock since HE asked ME out, so why would he ask me to set a meeting place? I found out once we met up that not only did he lie about living in the city (this is so common in NY) that he had no idea what to do on the date, hadn't made any kind of plans and worse put it all on me. Um, the guy is supposed to do all that to take the pressure off the girl on a first date, plus um YOU asked ME out. </p> <p>I pulled myself together and suggested we go for a drink then see a movie. He actually made me pay for our drinks which was a huge turnoff, then when we got to the theatre he asked me to pay for my own ticket and I realized I had left my wallet at the bar which was about a 20 minute subway ride away and we would miss the movie. He was actually pissed at me and gave me a lot of attitude for leaving my wallet.</p> <p>Um, if you hadn't made me pay for drinks and actually maybe had a plan for the date then maybe that wouldn't have happened! He called me and asked me out on a Friday night. So during our phone convo, he kept asking me questions that led me to believe that it would be a fancy date. Like "What type of wine do you like?" "Are you a fan of lobster and oysters?" "Would you mind if the restaurant was dim/candle lit?". Stuff like that. So I figured we must be going to a nice/semi-nice restaurant. I got super dressed up that night, did my hair extra special, wore a pretty fancy black dress, my fancy purse, dress heels..everything. He shows up at my house in a Nike T-shirt and khaki shorts with leather sandals. I felt SO stupid and embarrassed. We ended up going to a REALLY casual Mexican restaurant. Yes, we had house wine, lobster tacos and there was one votive candle on the table. I was for sure the most dressed up person there. He then asks me if he thought we were going somewhere nicer. I said no that it was totally fine. But he kept bringing it up/making fun of me about it all night because he knew it was making me feel embarrassed. When I got home he was already on AIM and sent me an IM saying "I think we should start a purely sexual relationship, what do you think?" Uhh no..</p> <p>Worst Date 2: Tried a blind date at a movie theatre. I'm a chubby short red head and very full figured. I get into the theatre and see this maybe 5 foot on his best day asian dude. This guy at most weighed 90lbs soaking wet and looked NOTHING like I was told about! I was slightly uncomfortable at the weight difference which was DRASTIC but he seemed nice enough. He proceeds to tell me he spent the entire day at the theatre alone seeing<br /> "mean girls" because Lindsay Lohan was in it and he has a serious fetish for red heads......great. He then takes me to see some bizarre Jaime Fox movie and when the movie begins literally says he can't take it anymore and BITES me! Saying I'm too sexy and we should just go back to his motel 6. The date ends with an awesome trip to Wendy's where he proclaimed we were soul mates. Honestly the only reason it was so bad is because afterwards I found out it was a date and I totally didn't even think about it that way at all.</p> <p>In college, DH and I broke up for about a year. A month before we got back together, an childhood friend invited me out for lunch. We used to go to the same church as kids and he was an assistant manager at my first job. He was a couple years older than me but we went to the same college (at the time I had just turned 20 and I think he was 22ish). He fb chatted me one night and said we should catch up and get lunch one day that week. He picked me up from a class (again, nothing registered "date" in my head) and we ate lunch off-campus and then he dropped me off at my apartment. I honestly didn't think anything of it and then DH and I got back together and all was well.</p> <p>About a year later, one of my roommates became friends with a friend of that guy. She met him when she was hanging out with her friend and they discovered that they both knew me. He told her that we went on a date!!! Dinner was weird - he asked what I wanted and then said to the waiter, "The lady will have...." My meal came and it had squid in it (which I hated at the time). We were sitting next to the river, so I ended up just picking up pieces of squid and tossing them into the river whenever he looked away. He was grabby and slimy and creepy (huh...just like squid!) and I get shudders thinking about it now. We walked over to a playground area after dinner and I sat on a swing. He did what @Rescuemom10's date did to her - pulled my head back and kissed me while I was on the swing. We go through this dark "cave" and he grabs me around the head, tilts my head back and plants this nasty kiss on me. Like forceful nasty kiss. I dont know if he seriously thought it was some perfect moment or what, but I was trying to pull away and it was such an awkward angle plus 100% initiated by him, it hurt too with how my kneck was bent. A Jewish dating site. And there, I found the worst date ever.</p> <p>First I told him that I didn't want to go out on Valentine's Day (too weird for a first date) and I didn't want to do dinner, just coffee or something (didn't want to be stuck through a whole dinner if I didn't like someone and didn't want to make someone spend a lot of money on me since he hadn't even met me yet). So of course, he set the date for Valentine's Day at a fancy restaurant. Should have known that just to say no!</p> <p>The moment I saw him I knew he lied on his profile- he was way shorter then he said! He tried to pressure me to get wine (I don't drink because of migraines). Then we proceeded to talk and I learned that he doesn't like black people, doesn't like gay people (my two best friends at the time were gay), didn't believe in adopting (I'm a big fan of adopting and always thought about doing it myself), he didn't think I was a real Jew (I'm reform and he's conservative), etc. And then after all of this, he had the nerve to ask me out on a second date, and didn't understand why I said no. </p>
