There is room for half sand, half water, and an attached umbrella that actually provides pretty good shade for any LO standing at the table. I really appreciate the umbrella, but it's super easy to take off. I haven't tried putting in sand in yet because I figured LO would just make mud and get really messy. It's pretty good. It's a little leaky from the drain. There's tons to do. It kept my 19 month old and an 8 year old busy for quite some time. Really sturdy. I filled up the sand side with water too, because LO is too little - she'd just eat it. Which one do you have and what do you like/dislike about it! Are the water and sand combo ones good? Or just a big mess? We don't care about any umbrella attachments because this table would go under an existing awning/shady area in our backyard. Thanks!
