I'm also followed by my GP (by choice) on a monthly basis until 28 weeks, when he will pass me over to an OB for the rest of my pregnancy. First of all, as he baby gets bigger (35weeks ish?) even you will be able to press your belly and feel where the head and butt are and you will feel limbs.<br /> And I doubt they'd schedule a c-section without first seeing that in fact, the baby is breech and there is no easy way of turning him/her? I may be wrong about that. But, my OB was very insistent that she'd try to turn the baby if that were possible before scheduling c-sections. </p> https://boards.hellobee.com/topic/what-weeks-do-you-have-ultrasounds#post-695198 Fri, 05 Apr 2013 18:14:14 +0000 tysonja 695198@https://boards.hellobee.com/ <p>I live in canada too -- for my first LO I went to the 14 week dating ultrasound (it was kind of underwhelming... over in a few minutes and the tech didn't say much -- and i had to pee sooooo bad!), and also the 20 week ultrasound (which was at the hospital, was a lot longer and more comfortable, and we could see lots of the baby!). </p> <p>for this current pregnancy, i opted out of the 14 week dating scan (too lazy because having a 8-9 month old + morning sickness made me not want to go to any elective appointments!), and i'm looking forward to the 20 week scan in a few weeks! </p> <p>my family doctor doesn't do deliveries, otherwise i would keep seeing her, instead, she forwarded me to an ob (the first time), and this time a midwife practice to monitor the pregnancy. </p> <p>I believe in canada it is standard to just have those two ultrasounds -- unless there are complications, then your ob will order more :). I know you can pay for extra ultrasounds, too, if you like! :) </p>
