He had paid off the balance because I had this goal of wanting them gone before our second child was born in May. Best gift ever ever ever.</p> <p>Um, I'm super boring, but the other best gifts ever have all been appliances! :grin: </p> <p>DH got me a Breville Smart Oven Air recently which I use constantly. We got a Bissell Wet/Dry Vac when we moved to our new home and its amazing. A Roomba as a push present before DS2 was born. Speed Queen washer and dryer set because I lusted for 2 years over them. One year for Christmas he got me the drop freezer I'd always wanted and its been amazing. He booked an awesome hotel, made dinner reservations, and got tickets to a musical. It was amazing.</p> <p>Last year, pre-LO2 we decided that our gift to ourselves would be to get a cleaner to come every 2 weeks. My then-boyfriend (husband now) found a mini ad in a magazine, cut out the pink one, dismantled one of those cards that play music when you open them, and crafted a new card so when you opened the mini it played music. Very surprised and LOVED it. </p> <p>Also, this seems silly, but my aunt gave me a Netflix gift card right before LO was born and was I ever grateful during all those nursing sessions that I had something funny on in the background (Parks and Rec). I have a subscription anyway but the gift card meant I didn't have to pay for those 3 months during unpaid maternity leave. </p> <p>Moccasins &amp; new TOMS for when my feet grew / swelled in pregnancy. </p> <p>DH got me king size down pillows when we were in college with personalized pillowcases with poetry. </p>
