At 25, I left my first real job after undergrad (not a career) and worked a super dead end job while applying to school. I was just sorta kinda getting settled. Kids were still 4 years away. </p> <p>Now, at 32, I feel like I'm maybe getting somewhere, but I still have 3 years of school left, at least! I owned no home then and still don't now. We had debt then but less now. The biggest difference is that at 26, I was miserable and stressed. 25 was one of the hardest years of my life, amd i was a constant mess of stress. I was living in NYC with my husband and we were saving up money to buy a house in the suburbs.</p> <p>I'm now 28, still at the same nonprofit (that I love!), have a house in the suburbs and am about to start my master's degree. I had called off an engagement with someone else so that I could get back together with my now husband. DH was my serious boyfriend at the time and we went out Thursday, Friday, Saturday with friends.
