I loved books. I think I read some of the books I had in my own personal library probably over 500 times. I didn't know back then but I had a bad habit of skimming / speed reading so I went through books really, really fast. Related to that, I was really into the American Girl books and eventually saved up half the cost of a doll and got one. As a high schooler I was so afraid they were going to go out of business, and now they've totally exploded!! I got the books the day they came out and read them immediately. I also had the videos when they came out on VHS.
