I loved it because it was one of the few things that he and I did just by ourselves. Also when I was a little older (middle school and older) both of my parents would randomly come pull me out of school some days for "mental health days" as a surprise and we'd go do something fun. It got me thinking about my favorites:</p> <p>1) When my dad came home, I would run out and get his coat and hang it up for him. Then we'd all have dinner together.</p> <p>2) When we went sledding after a big snow, we'd put on these big bulky snow pants and sled for hours and then come home to warm up with some warm sweet tea with milk.</p> <p>3) Every now and then, we'd go to the local pizza place and sometimes I'd get a quarter to play their arcade game (Dig Dug was my jam).</p> <p>What were your favorite childhood rituals? </p>
