To understand why it worked this time, what these numbers mean. But ultimately, it's all still magic, you know? I think we got the timing down better and that Clomid was making my follicles too large too soon. Going with the injectibles helped my doctor slowly monitor the growth and time everything just right.</p> <p>Also - for what it's worth - I had absolutely NO symptoms when I got my positive. None. Well, the clear skin was a little suspect, but how could I possibly think no pimples meant I was pregnant? It's a nutso process - and I was going nuts on my 3rd cycle - but I do hope everyone is able to learn more about their bodies and what works for them. I do feel like I got that. But I SO hope that for baby #2 we can do this on our own. Sort of. I did get pregnant but it was ectopic. Tube was saved and is clear.</p> <p>2nd IUI:<br /> One good follicle at 20mm, lining was a little better, around 6.<br /> DH's numbers: in the 30s<br /> Successful? Nope. I knew it wouldn't work the moment the IUI was done. I don't know why but I just knew.</p> <p>Now, I'm in the TWW for the 3rd IUI:<br /> Two good follicles at 17 and 21. Lining was much better :) at 8. And while my tube is fine the two follicles are in my left where the pregnancy was so I'm a little apprehensive<br /> DH's numbers: 22 mil.<br /> Successful? Not sure - am a bit more optimistic than last month but not very hopeful :( I wish more than anything that the first IUI was in the right place and stuck. If the 3rd try doesn't work we'll be taking a break. </p> <p>For all 3 IUIs, I was on Clomid days 3-7 and then did Ovidrel 36 hrs before the IUI. I think they were usually around 18mm and I usually had 3 with the second two being a bit smaller. I always had lining issues, I always hoped to be at 6mm and was 1 out of the 3 times. Dh's only issue was morphology and it was only 4% normal. Here are mine:</p> <p># of follicles: 3 on my good side, 1 on my bad side<br /> size of follicles: 2 days before our IUI they were - Good side - 18, 16, 15 Bad side - 23<br /> Lining: 10.7 2 days before IUI<br /> DH's #s: We're not sure on the actual # but he's never had a problem and our RE said they were 'really great'<br /> Successful?
