Our district has early release on Wednesdays, so LO will be home a little after 12p on those days. As a teacher and now a new parent, I think year-round school is for the birds. </p> <p>Our son is far from school, but we've got so many different combination options I can't even begin to make a plan. We could<br /> - send him to our neighborhood school<br /> - try to choice him into the school near the daycare he attends now<br /> - come to the school where I teach (btw, my least favorite option)<br /> - go to another school closer to our home, but in the district where I teach (I don't teach in our neighborhood district).<br /> - not even live in our city anymore!</p> <p>We do a combo drop off/pick up now, but I don't know about when school starts. I think I heard that buses could bring him to/from my school? I plan to drop her off in the mornings and then she can do after school until DH arrives to pick her up. Perhaps when all kids are in school and have some after-school activities, I can go back to work part-time.
