Can you ask them if they are bringing a gift to the first or second wedding? That way, no matter what you decide, you won't be the only one?</p> <p>I think the card with money/gift card in the purse is the safest bet. The first wedding will be a civil ceremony and a swanky restaurant reception. There is only 30ish people going and will be very intimate. Two weeks later they are getting married again in a church and having a traditional country club big reception. </p> <p>What would you do about gifts? Not sure what the protocol is. They don't have a registry... </p>
