And honestly by the time my son is 4 I expect him to know better than to taunt the dog. Our dog is not aggressive but she has scratched M accidentally when rolling around on her back. That would not be grounds for rehoming.</p> <p>That being said, my nephew was attacked by my SIL's dog when he was a toddler. The dog thought he was attacking my SIL so, the dog attacked our nephew. He has a scar on his face from it. I think it would depend on the situation. If the dog was acting aggressively toward my LO, then some serious investigation would be needed, and probably need to find a new home for the dog. But if it was truly an accident, or if LO was taunting the dog. Then obviously it isn't the dog's fault and no repercussions would be taken truthfully. But man, what a sucky situation. :( </p>
