We are planning to go to a daytime MLB game since his favorite team is playing against our local team. Since DH doesn't want to take DD to a game yet this was the only way for us to get to a game this season and the bonus is we get to celebrate our 4th wedding anniversary together (alone). I was... 6 (?) months pregnant at the time, so we couldn't do anything extreme, but we still had a lot of fun.</p> <p>We basically did everything we love to do, but can't take a toddler to. We ate lunch at a mongolian grill type restaurant, we went out to a matinee at an adult movie, and we got a couple's massage in the afternoon. It was the best day ever! We're going to eat brunch at our old favorite brunch place (still kid-friendly, but kind of far from us now, so we never go) then head over to the Quincy Market / Fanueil Hall area to walk around, shop, grab frozen yogurt, and eat a snack in the afternoon. I think not...) We're thinking of dining experiences that take a long time, which we avoid with a toddler... like The Melting Pot (my favorite!) or Fire and Ice. We are still going to send Wagon Jr. to school as usual and have a real date day... possibly the very last one before the baby comes. We usually do these about once a month or every other month, and we haven't done one in a while, and they are a REAL treat. We're so looking forward to it, but we can't think of anything to do!! Everything we can think of is actually family-friendly so we're like "eh, we'll just save it for a Saturday or Sunday and take Wagon Jr. too". It's happened... we are such PARENTS now that we can't even think of non kid friendly things we used to do that we miss. </p> <p>What would you do on a TRUE day off-- childcare covered, both of you aren't working...??? </p>
