@Tanjowen: I think the only way to keep yearbooks manageable to is to check your expectations lol. I tend to be a perfectionist and esp because I'm a photographer and make albums for clients, I tend to get really caught up in quality of photos and perfect layouts. You just can't do that for yearbooks or they would never get done. I include anything that makes me smile-- LOTS of iPhone photos included (since that is what I tend to grab in the moment for things at home), regardless of whether it is a "good" photo-- and I don't get fussy about the layout. I do 8x8 blurb books and just put everything in chronological order. Most photos are full page or maybe 2 per page. No text except a year review to start that highlights big events in bullet point. I really try to keep in mind it is only about memories, not about creating art. Otherwise I would just never find time to do it!

@Mae: I like the idea of a year book! It might make it more manageable and easier to include more content.

I do family yearbooks every year or two anyways (if it is two, I include both years). I focus on content rather than quality of pictures-- which is hard for me! But I think my LO will appreciate seeing all the stuff we did when she was little and before. Not that any of it is terribly exciting, but there are tons of pics of the pets and our family and any trips or excursions we take. I like the idea of including house photos though! I include photos when I do a project/diy but not just of "the state of the house" and I totally should do a few pages on that so she could see the house she was brought home to!

I want to create a life story book for my LO. Basically, a book that includes a little information about us, life when he was born and throughout his childhood.

My parents are very hazy in telling their past and various events when I was little and I remain curious. I thought it would be nice for him to have when he gets older and my memory wI'll be hazy :P

What do wish you knew or would want to know from baby-childhood? I plan to include photos of our current house, pets, cars, family members and write about any major events.
