I only dated one guy seriously before DH and this was 10 years ago. To this day, I wonder what life would have been like. He is in med school right now and is a firm believer that you don't get married until you are settled in your career. He was a controlling, narcissistic a-hole that thought it was perfectly fine to "go to dinner, a movie, and bowling" with other women he newly met. If that wasn't bad enough, I would have been toiling away at a job I didn't like nor enjoy because I would have been the sole provider while he finished his medical training. I thank my lucky stars I had enough sense to file for divorce.</p> <p>Now this other guy isn't an ex. He's someone I briefly dated that inadvertently made me realize that I actually really liked my DH (back then, just a friend). Things were left before anything had even started, but at one point I was wondering about the potential outcome if I had came home first before moving to Sweden with DH. He did ask if I was coming home. He'd develop some lofty goal and then come up with a reason why it's my fault he never reached that goal.</p> <p>3: Well, this is awkward but I'd be married to my cousin. Found out AFTER we broke up that we're distantly (way, way distant) related as cousins or something like that. I'd be Mennonite with his Amish mom living 10 steps away since he's the oldest son. I'd have 30+ nieces and nephews, most are Amish.
