I hand wash everything and use the dishwasher as a drying rack. Or my oven, which runs 50 degrees hotter than the display. First time I used it I couldn't figure why my brownies were burning after 20 minutes! An oven thermometer fixed that, but it would be nice for it to be properly functioning. Plus the broiler is on the bottom and I literally have to get down on the floor to use it (and take out all the sheet pans that I store there). Or my fridge, cause it's tiny and beaten up... Are you sure I can't just replace my whole kitchen???? Ours is a very tiny rental-sized white one that came with the house, and it is nowhere near what I want in a fridge. It's not even that old, but somehow it doesn't bake things very well. It's fine with meats and savory foods, but whenever I try and make baked goods, they don't turn out right! I've even tried taking the same batch and baking some in my oven and some in my convection oven, and the ones made in the convection oven turn out better! And we need to completely renovate our kitchen too but I figured that can be the next owner's problem. We've done all the other rooms, let them figure out the kitchen! The kitchen in the new house needs work too but it's low on our list of priorities. Our kitchen was just redone Les than two years ago so the only big thing I would do is change the cabinet between the fridge and the mudroom into a broom closet because we don't have one. Keep an eye out and you might find a good deal. And the kitchen as a whole is not an option! If I had to choose the one thing right now, I would have to say my microwave. I think it's a relic from my IL's house, given to my DH when he got his house (ten years ago). If I had to guess, I'd say it was circa 1980's. It's ancient and stained! I hate the thing but it keeps working so we keep using it... What would you choose?
