My dream town is my hometown which is pricer but has a fabuous school, we will only move here though is if we can't afford to build. We've only lived in -oston (ha, can you follow that one??) and our next move most likely will be to one of the burbs, but I have no idea where, in what direction. Schools will be my top priority (will probably move out there when this LO is 3ish), but the way I figure it, we will have to sacrifice either:<br /> money<br /> sq footage<br /> land (like, yards and stuff)<br /> schools<br /> taxes<br /> commute (DH works in the city and in his line of work, it's pretty much guaranteed that he will only find a comparable job downtown, though he hopes to have more flexibility in hours and working from home at some point) </p> <p>Personally, right now I lean more towards shorter commute with less land, he is the opposite-- which is funny since he will be working and I'll be SAH for a while. --sbury is one of the towns he likes, but I think it's just way too far. It's not a fantasy dream town, but the one we both wanted to raise our family in for the sake of: excellent schools, family-oriented, plethora of eating and shopping, and distance to work and family. At least, that's the way it was for our friends who were on House Hunters. They paid them $300 to appear on the show and they had to already be in escrow with their new house.
