We did the rock n play which our ped, PT and helmet guy think naked the flat spot so much worse. Once I forced the crib we put pillows under the one side and did the towel nest.

I did respite for a family that the mom rigged up straps to the top of the mattress that she secures the shoulders of the sleep sack to. Their kid needed a huge incline and it worked like a charm.

I agree with making a crib nest and inclining the mattress. Otherwise, I would go with some kind of gear - RnP, swing, etc.

@T.H.O.U.: I was just looking this up. Someone referred me to Mrs Blue's blog post when T wouldn't sleep in the pack n play as a newborn because he felt isolated. Here it is

http://www.hellobee.com/2013/09/03/surviving-reflux-colds-angle-sleeping-and-crib-nests/

ETA: I never ended up doing it though because we solved our swaddle issue but I always thought it looked helpful.

Have you read about how to mAke a "nest" in the crib for an incline? It uses rolled up towels under the fitted sheet.

During the day when I can keep an eye on Fia napping, I put a pillow under one side of her pack n play bassinet "mattress" to keep her upper body at a slight incline. She has never rolled off of it, but I worry about her rolling so I don't do it at night. I wonder if you could build some sort of nest with rolled up towels? Like incline the mattress and then put rolled up towels or blankets under the sheet on either side of LO to keep him from rolling? I'm not sure how safe that would be? But I'm also not sure how else to keep him from rolling if you don't want to just have him sleep in a RnP.

When we were talking to the ped today, he told us not to let LO sleep flat at all, to keep him upright at all times like in a car seat. We have a Mamaroo but I don't think he'd tolerate it for too long, and I can only put his bassinet/crib mattress at a slight angle before he starts rolling into the corner. (The issue is that his reflux is causing apnea.)

Is there anything else you can think of that we should try?
