I personally wouldn't pay $60 a panel. I normally get ours on super sale or at Ikea. As for blackout curtains, I attach my own blackout lining - they end up looking like hotel curtains.

We paid $120 for two panels from pier one for our nursery. We probably could have subbed cheaper curtains, but the ones we got really do look fantastic!

I just bought a really nice set of panels for my dining room from JC Penney and they were $70 for the set. $120 for 2 panels is kind of expensive but it totally depends on if you are dead set on a particular print or color. It's worth it if you know it's exactly what you are looking for and can't find what you want anywhere else.

That seems to be the going rate on Etsy and even higher from places like Land of Nod and PBK.

I also can't sew, but have been all about no-sew hem tape lately (like some PPs). I made the curtains for our nursery this way. Fabric (7 yds from fabric.com) cost me about $55 and the rod and rings were about $30.

Like you I can't even sew a button. I made my own curtains without sewing--using hem tape and curtain clips and made two large panels WITH black out curtains behind for about $60. If the $120 isn't a hardship and it is exactly what you want, I'd go for it. If you are will to put in a little time to save some cash, I enjoyed the project! Don't have a picture of the full curtain on me, but here is a glimpse.

If you love the fabric but don't love the price, you can make your own no-sew! Young House Love blog has a tutorial for it... You make them with hem tape. I made a pair for our house using their tutorial and I get compliments on them all the time, which makes my husband and I giggle since all I had to do was measure the window and iron the fabric :)

$120 doesn't sound crazy for a SET of panels! See what they're made out of, too. Sometimes curtains are much thinner and let more light in than i want.

I paid $99 for a single panel ruffled blackout curtain from Pottery Barn for the nursery. We just have a single window, though, so we didn't need a set.

For another other room, I paid $15 and got them from American Outfitters. They're more sheer, though, but they're very pretty!

120$ is reasonable if they are nice! I usually get mine from Target or IKEA, so I usually only pay 30-40$ for 2 panels, but I will say that they are not the best quality. If you love them and think they are worth it, go for it!

I found a set of curtains for our nursery on Etsy that I love, but they are $120 (for the pair of panels). Is this ridiculously expensive or about average? There's only one window in our nursery, so we'd only have to get one pair. This seems cheaper than the PBK options and comparable to the Land of Nod options (and they are custom so we'd get to choose the fabric).

Making my own is not an option because I can't even sew a button on a shirt (how embarrassing!). How much did you pay for curtains? Does this price seem reasonable?
