My 14 month old will eat almost none of these yummy things people have listed! Usually she eats some fruit, some cheese and something carb-ey like toast, cereal, pirate's booty, veggie chips, goldfish. A little sandwich meat when she doesn't throw it on the floor. Maybe yogurt or applesauce.

@cmomma17: Sure! I usually dice some cherry tomatoes and toss those in too with a touch of lime juice or olive oil. Easy and tasty!

@ValentineMommy: My 12 month old is turning this way too, maybe she's bored. She had grapes and cheese for dinner last night. :(

She usually eats leftovers of whatever I made for dinner the night before. On days where there aren't any or she didn't like dinner, anything goes - a grilled cheese with berries, a pb&j with apple sauce or greens, a mushroom quesadilla with corn/black bean/avocado salad, mac and cheese with a pouch on super lazy days.

WOW you guys give yours a lot more variety - I need to go shopping!

A eats lunch at daycare and usually has turkey, avocado, peas, pasta, etc.

At home we tend to give her a protein plus a veggie. Beef/chicken/tuna/egg with steamed or roasted sweet potato/squash/broccoli/carrot/etc. I'll often try to mix in another food group like cheese squares, puffs, grapes, or something else.

She's bored of that stuff though so need to mix it up. These are good ideas :)

L's typical lunch on the weekend is:
3 quartered cherry tomatoes
4 sliced strawberries
4 olives
Some sort of protein (scrambled eggs, hard boiled eggs, ground turkey, chicken breast)
1/4 cup corn or green beans (I buy a big bag of frozen and let it thaw)
Anything else random I have hanging out in the fridge (steamed veggies, leftover pasta, grapes, etc)

Depends on the day and who's feeding him!
Always fruit - lately it's strawberries and blueberries, but he loves clementines too and all types of melon, and apples.
Almond milk and/or some cheese.
Then add in a pbj, beans, beans and rice, yogurt, cottage cheese, dry cereal, graham crackers, peas, hummus on toast, guacamole, scrambled eggs, baked sweet potato, etc. A smorgasbord basically!
Grandma feeds him things like pasta (tortellini usually), and she has also given him vegetable soup.

I try to make sure she gets a protein + vegetable.

Today, lunch is leftover macaroni and cheese, grilled chicken, and lima beans and peas.

Yesterday, she had black beans, broccoli, and shredded mozzarella.

We often do beans + vegetable because it's so easy to pack. Leftover strips of omelet are also a favorite.

We try to hit all of the food groups. A veggie or two, grain, dairy, meat, although we don't always hit them all.

Her lunch yesterday was whole grain pasta with meat and veggie sauce, some peas mixed in (her current favourite) and a sippy of WCM. She ate some blackberries after for "dessert".

at home, it's anything! Hard boiled eggs, leftover veggies, cheese....almond butter on toast if i can't get something to her fast enough. She loves the trader joes macaroni and cheese, which is easy for us, since sometimes we have to scrounge before we go grocery shopping!

at daycare, it's good stuff like peas, rice, and chicken.

I'm transitioning C to meals based more around whole foods than his bottles while he's at daycare. What is typically in your toddler's lunch?
